Naked Egg Experiment Updated!

It worked!  And our hypothesis was correct!  The oldest egg shed its shell the quickest and our farm fresh egg with the thicker brown shell shed its shell the slowest, but they all lost their shells!

After we removed the shells, we returned the eggs to a water bath and watched them swell up!  It is quite cool!  The kids then played with their eggs and eventually "broke" them by squeezing them. Fortunately for me, they decided to squeeze them over the cup so there was no mess to clean up.  Definitely a fun and educational experiment.  Next time we plan to have corn syrup on hand so that we can "shrink" our eggs!
